Lance Charnes has been an Air Force intelligence officer, information technology manager, computer-game artist, set designer, and Jeopardy! contestant, and is now an emergency management specialist. He’s had training in architectural rendering, terrorist incident response, and maritime archaeology, though not all at the same time. His Facebook author page features spies, archaeology, and art crime. Lance is the author of the DeWitt Agency Files series of international art-crime novels (THE COLLECTION, STEALING GHOSTS, and CHASING CLAY), the DeWitt Agency Adventures series of action/adventure novels (ZRADA and ENGAÑO), the international thriller DOHA 12, and the near-future thriller SOUTH. All are available in trade paperback and digital editions.
Sherry Bridges Clitheroe (pseudonym: Abigail Leigh Reed) is a 2019 Writer’s Digest Award winner and the 2021 Dorothy Cannell Scholarship winner. She sits on the board of Sisters in Crime Orange County, is a member of the SinC Guppy chapter, and is a Southern California Writers Association member. Barbara DeMarco-Barrett is the author/editor of Palm Springs Noir (Akashic) and the Los Angeles Times bestseller, Pen on Fire: A Busy Woman’s Guide to Igniting the Writer Within (Harcourt, 2004; reissued by Mars Street Press, 2018). Her fiction and nonfiction appear in Orange County Noir (Akashic), Literary Hatchet, Rock and a Hard Place magazine, USA Noir: Best of the Akashic Noir Series, Serial Magazine, Shotgun Honey, Crossing Borders (Down & Out Books), Inlandia, Authors Guild Bulletin, Belle Ombre, the Los Angeles Times, Poets & Writers, The Writer, and the Los Angeles Review of Books.
